The following is not intended to put you off adopting a boxer,
we are just being realistic and want to ensure you FULLY realise the commitment required on your behalf and that we only
place our dogs in the best and most suitable homes possible.
1. Is your garden fully secured with a fence or wall of AT LEAST 6 FEET HIGH? Boxers are surprisingly athletic and can easily
clear heights of less than this.

2. Are you out at work all day? Boxers are a very sociable
breed and love to be with their people as much as possible.
Boxers who spend long periods of time alone can become
bored and therefore destructive. For this reason we will not
place a rescue where he or she will be left alone for longer
than 4-6 hours daily.
3. Boxers are a very energetic breed. Are you willing to spend
at least an hour each day exercising your dog, winter and summer, rain and shine?
4. Boxers are a boisterous breed. This combined with their
strength and size means that they are not the right dog for
everyone. Have you really thought about how well a boxer
would fit into your family?
5. Boxers can be destructive at times and yes, they do
slobber. If you are extremely house proud, then a boxer may
not be the breed for you.
6. Boxers can be a costly breed to own, with vets bills, lots of
food and a high toy 'turnover'. Are you prepared for your dog
to be a part of your outgoings?
